Blog Post #8 - People's Choice 🏅🏆🎖

While I wasn’t sure how I would get it all done at times, I am really proud of my accomplishments in my first professional blog. I’ll truly miss stressing over MauBlog. I’ll miss paging through my peer's posts much more, though. Surprisingly, I feel that my most professional post is also one of the most personal. In Blog Post #3 I reflected on my writing process in conjunction with our weekly readings in a thorough, comprehensive, and succinct manner. I didn’t let flowery language run away with my word count in this post and instead focused on immediate applications to my pedagogy. Blog Post #7, my zine, would be the winner of the Multimodal Design, Creativity, and Civic Engagement categories as it creatively and multimodally engaged with relevant and responsive texts. The zine is a perfect place to apply these categories in conversation with one another.

And now, what you’ve all been waiting for…

The one. The only……

BLOSCARS PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD!!!!!

All of my peers’ insightful posts acted as model texts over the past couple of months, and I learned about them as individuals and as educators. There were a few that I could always rely on to help me envision what a blog was supposed to look like. Each week, I was astounded by the efficient consistency of Annabelle Moon’s Over the Moon Blog, the thorough, poignant, examination in Morgan Kulg’s Midwestern Chatterbox, and the eye-catching narrative power of Gaytonia by David Gayton. If I had to pick just one to be my Peoples Choice Pick (and I do), I would go with a blog that has helped me gain immense perspective into the field I am quickly diving into. This blog is well-organized, narratively captivating, and beyond all else, educational. Every post is purposeful, artfully crafted, and I will likely end up utilizing the recourses highlighted in it for yours to come. TAD-367, the blog run by Tiffany Hagey would have to take the cake. As for MauBlog, it was an honor just to be nominated!
