Hi, my name is Greta Mau

I'm studying to be a secondary English Educator and also earning a Theatre minor. One day I'd like to retire from a well-versed, fulfilling career that explores and combines teaching both of these passions. Currently, I'm anxiously awaiting my placement details for student teaching in the fall while putting bandaids on 2nd graders' hurt knees in a summer school class in Wauwatosa. I love to scribble. I'm a physical and visual learner and adore creating visual connections and graphic notations. I hope to build these strengths in my students by incorporating doodles throughout my instruction.

A resource I will definitely be utilizing is Google Jamboard (and similar apps). It is so important that I maintain interactive and motivating forms of instruction, especially given students increasing competencies with online interaction. Being able to interact with my peers mid-lecture helped me stay attentive this past year, and I can only imagine the creative ways I'll be able to apply Jamboard through my first few years of teaching.
